With nearly 50 years of experience working on behalf of its clients, for the most part international and national oil companies; our client executes infrastructure projects that are increasingly ambitious, complex and demanding: ultra-deep waters, extreme climates, mega-sized projects, non-conventional resources and optimization of environmental performance. As a result of strong growth they are looking to appoint an experienced Applications Support Analyst to manage and resolve Oracle Application Faults and System Services requests logged with the Applications Service Desk in support of our client’s sites globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor the Service Desk for new faults and service requests during office hours.
Resolve Service Desk faults and service requests.
Monitor overnight processes and resolve any problems.
Create and maintain solutions and procedures for new and existing processes.
Take part in an on-call service.
Establish technical expertise in their primary area of responsibility (Applications / HR / Reporting / MP5).
Train and assist their peers with new technologies, applications and processes.
Provide training and assistance to super users and end users as required.
Assist with development of functional specification of system enhancements and bugfixes for implementation by the Technical Team.
Assist with user acceptance testing of bugfixes and system enhancements.
Liaise regularly with all parties involved in use, operation and technical support of the systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Further education qualification (e.g. Degree, HNC or Equivalent).
Preferred: Technical Degree
EXPERIENCE
Essential: Experience of working in a technical support role, preferably within a large company. Demonstrated good working knowledge of MS Office desktop applications (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).
Preferred: Working knowledge of Oracle Applications, Self Service Applications, Reporting Tools or MP5 in a support or user role.
Project Management experience.
Experience of an ERP implementation project.
