ACCESS ARRANGEMENT PROJECT DIRECTOR
POWER INDUSTRY
WESTERN AUSTRALIA

We have an exciting opportunity for an Access Arrangement Project Director to join the primary provider of electricity network services in the south west of Western Australia.

As a regulated entity, their Access Arrangement is the mechanism that defines performance targets, required expenditure and revenue requirements into the business. The Access Arrangement is vitally important to the company and is revised every three to five years.

As Access Arrangement Project Director you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the development of future Access Arrangements including formal submissions to the Economic Regulatory Authority.

You will work directly with the executive team to develop the strategic objectives and scope of periodic Access Arrangement revisions, establish the project team and governance structure and then project manage from inception to approval.

In particular, this will involve working across several core areas within the business to facilitate the production of accurate and robust forecasts of funding requirements and investment plans for all capital works, maintenance programs and operational expenditure.

With previous experience project managing or leading the development of an Access Arrangement, Regulatory Price Review (or other relevant project) for a large regulated business, you will have strong knowledge of economic regulatory principles, frameworks and codes. This will have been gained within a regulated enterprise (preferably in the energy sector), regulatory authority or consulting organisation on the areas of energy, policy, economic or regulatory services.

The ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, lead cross functional project teams and produce high quality reports will be part of your personal arsenal, as will highly developed negotiation skills and tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Economics, Engineering or Finance.

A forward-looking company with over 2,300 employees, they develop strategies to position the business for a sustainable future. This means finding safer, better and more efficient ways of delivering their services.

Help them to serve the energy needs of the community and in return they will provide the opportunity to make a positive difference to the business and achieve a healthy work-life balance, with competitive salary and benefits.

Western Australia offers a lifestyle that is second to none; a Mediterranean climate, an outdoor, family-friendly lifestyle and a growing economy. From small rural country towns to beautiful coastal city locations, WA is home to 1.9 million people.
